The Best & the Worst of Christmas 2010

The best was having my mom (maryc), my sisters (islander and nursekim), my nephew and my B-I-L here for Christmas. It was a first and hopefully not last.

The worst was receiving the gift of a virus last week and loosing the Internet for days, until DH remembered he has a laptop squirreled away in the closet. I don't like using this one. The keys are too close together and my nails are too long. Thank God for auto spell check. Our poor desktop was hospitalized on the 24th. Goodness knows when it will be coming home. There will also be no photos from this shadow of a computer as there is no photo program on it and as it's not my computer I'm not making any changes to DH's toy. Besides, I didn't take more than two pictures and one of them is Angel stalking Tartan, Islander's Sheltie. Also, the camera is gasping it's last breath. DH and I will be shopping for a new one asap. That and what with cooking, chatting and opening gifts I simply forgot to take photos. I am looking forward to seeing and posting, with his permission, the photos my B-I-L took with his fancy new camera.

My New Year's Resolution is to not complain so much.

I hope all of my MyBloggers friends had a wonderful Christmas.

We had computer problems too -- more than one virus, two trojans -- it's working but still needs cleaning. I can't get to "my" side of the Vista program and piggy back on Ed's. Your Christmas sounds great. Ours was quiet and that suits me. We don't decorate. The party we gave on the 18th was stress enough and we had back-to-back guests for two weeks. I'm crashing now. Happy New Year.

We've got some kind of IP address conflict here between our various computers. Don't know how it started, but it's affecting our connectivity. Hope your computer comes back good as new. Hugs to Angel and everyone else.

That's what happened to my computer. I kept getting a message saying my IP address needed to be reactivated or re-entered or some such thing. Out network tech gave me codes to enter and I was able to get on the internet, bypassing out router, through Firefox but not Explorer. I have no idea how I got the virus. I miss my real 'puter. Hope it comes home soon.

Yes! It was a delicious Christmas! And the family reunion part was pretty good, too!

I don't take a lot of pictures at Christmas, I'd rather
sit back and relax instead of having relatives bugging me asking for
the pictures I took.

My best gift was seeing my daughter's delight in her gifts. I spoiled her.

My best gift was a phone call to my son! "You're alive!", I said to him. It was nice talking to him.
