Basket Weave Bib (Free Pattern)

Basket Weave Bib





Materials:
1 50 g ball of cotton, worsted weight yarn
1 pair 4.5 mm/7 US needles

Tension: Not important

Directions:
Cast on 30 sts.
Rows 1, 3 & 5: Knit
Rows 2, 4 & 6: Inc 1 st, knit to last st, inc 1 st.
Rows 7, 9 & 11: K4, P4, (K4, P4) to last 4 sts, K4.
Rows 8, 10 & 12: K4, K4, (P4, K4) to last 4sts, K4.
Rows 13, 15 & 17: K4, K4 (P4, K4) to last 4 sts, K4.
Rows 14, 16 & 18: K4, P4 (K4, P4) to last 4 sts, K4.
Repeat rows 7 to 18 two more times then repeat rows 7 to 12 once more.
Next Row: K14, cast off 8 sts, K14.

Right Shoulder
Row 1: K2tog, K10, K2tog.
All Even Rows: Knit
Row 3: K2tog, K8, K2tog.
Row 5: K2tog, K6, K2tog.
Row 7: K2tog, K4, K2tog.
Row 9: K2tog, K2, K2tog.
Row 11: K2tog.
Crochet single chain tie.

Left Shoulder
Same as right shoulder.

Optional:
Crochet around bib once for a nice finished edge.

Darling bibs! Unlike pecan, I actually read Chinese, so I understand these directions perfectly. I just don't have any babies to knit for.
