MATERIALS: 1 50 g ball of fingering weight yarn
pair 4.5 mm/7 US needles
1 2.5 crochet hook
1 darning needle
1 weight (glass bead or pearl button)
TENSION: Not important
Cast on 12 stitches.
Rows 1 - 4: Knit
Row 5: K2tog twice, (yo, k1) 3 times, yo, ssk twice, k1.
Row 6: Purl
Rows 7 - 10: Repeat rows 5 and 6 twice.
Repeat rows 1 - 10 until bookmark measures approximately 17 cm/6.5 in when flattened.
Repeat rows 1 - 4.
Cast off. DO NOT cut yarn.
Crochet back to centre of cast off row.
Single crochet for 10 cm/4 in.
Cut yarn and fasten off.
Thread cut yarn through bead and fasten securely.
