Sweetheart Layette

I'd like to share another vintage pattern with you all. I've knit this one several times and it is adorable. It's a surprisingly simple pattern that is easy to memorize.

Please Note: The pattern calls for Canadian size 7, 9, 10 and 11 needles. This converts to size 4.5mm, 3.75mm, 3.25mm and 3mm/7 US, 5 US, 3 US and something midway between a 2 and a 3 US.
The yarn called for in the pattern was a fingering weight baby yarn sold in 1 oz/28.35g balls.

What a beautiful set, I would love to try it, however I have one question. What does "WO" stand for?? Is it the same as yarn over??

That's right, yarn over. I've also seen that it stands for Wool Over and Wrap (yarn)Over. Sometimes it can be difficult deciphering these vintage patterns. If you have any trouble with it. Just give me a shout.

True, the pattern is nice. I'll leave it to you to do. I've never knitted.

That looks complicated.

Very nice. Our senior citizen center has a store and I often find adorable baby things there. Personally, I don't knit or crochet... but I admire people who do.
