Playing Catch Up
Starting with a better-late-than-never Halloween joke: When a group of witches, ghosts, ho's, drug dealers and bums show up on my doorstep, I know it must be Halloween, because our family reunion was in July. Yuck yuck.
As my DD#2 has allowed my eldest grandson (13) to have his own Facebook page I can finally post a picture of this handsom young man. Sadly, I didn't have his girlfriend's permission so I had to crop her out of the photo. He looks just like his grandpa (DH).

Last Wednesday DH dropped me off at my mom's place on his way to a course in Vancouver. I took my spinning wheel with me and on Thursday Mom (maryc), Sis (nursekim) and I had a spin in. I was too busy spinning to think of taking a photo at the time.
Wheels from left to right: Mom's, Kim's and mine's on the right.

I have some superwash Merino on my bobbin. I'm alternating five foot strips of the grey and red/grey. I was going to make socks out of the finished yarn but realized there is no nylon in it. It's 100% Merino wool so the socks would wear out too fast. Now I'm thinking of a nice V neck, pullover vest for myself.
The three of us went to a local Craft Fair. It was my first of the Christmas season. Mom and I went for some rather lengthy walks. All that walking didn't seem to affect her any, however, I ached from my waist down to my toes. We talked and walked and talked and shopped and talked and ate and talked and..... DH picked me up and brought me home on Friday night.

Mom says, "Cheers!"
On the weekend DH and I went to check out the Artisan's Faire where the West Coast Weavers and Spinners had rented a table. I had some of my hand spun yarn on the table but only one skein sold. I did find some Xmas gifts at that and the next craft fair we went to after that but I can't show you those. ;o)
All caught up now.
