Happy Birthday to Me

It was a nice birthday. I finished the new Christening Gown. I might post a picture tomorrow but I need to design and knit the bonnet and booties yet. The maillady brought me a parcel; seven skeins of lovely light teal alpaca. I ate birthday cake for lunch. Did some laundry before DH got home from work. He took me out for a Chinese buffet. Of course we both over indulged but what the hey, it's only once a year. He told me to order the full set of Harmony straight needles and gave me tidy sum for yarn to knit with them. He is definitely my enabler. Yes, it was a nice birthday.

Early-in-the-month birthdays are hard for me to remember (but I'd never forget YOURS

) because by the time I realize it is the new month, it's already at least the 5th. My own birthday is on the second of a month, but that doesn't make it any easier to keep track.

Sounds like a very nice birthday. I love that felt mouse, especially the birthday cake. I always pretend I am going to make my own cute felt animals, but since I probably never will, I'll save that photo in my digital 'Catalog of Things.'
