Whirlwind Weekend

I knew there was something I forgot to mention in my last post. Today I do laundry and pack my bag and tonight I deliver my newspapers. Tomorrow morning I see Dr Duck (hopefully for the last time) regarding my thumb/wrist thing and head over to Nanaimo by mid-day where MaryC, Nursekim and I will drive down to the Cowichan Exhibition where we will spend the afternoon. Tomorrow night we might go to the Vancouver Island Fibre Festival. If our feet are aching too much we will put that off until Saturday morning. **Must remember to take camera, cash, credit cards and mindless knitting for the drive.** I'm so excited. It's going to be a fabulous weekend. Kim has offered to take me home on Sunday when we will finally celebrate DH's birthday (only a week late). That reminds me, I need to wrap his gifts today. I'd better go start that laundry.

Ed just had a birthday, the 6th. He chose to ignore it. Mine is coming up and it's also our wedding anniversary. No way does he get to avoid dinner out. Have a great time -- but it sounds exhausting.

I have a nephew that lives in Blaine WA. I'd love to visit and then come up to Vancouver. Sounds like a great city.

Have a wonderful time at the Fair/Exhibit and I look forward to reading about it all after the weekend. Mum certainly enjoyed our Fall Fair two weeks ago and I think she got a kick out of seeing the Fibre Arts trophy with her name on it multiple times.

Adelaide royal show on here at the moment----( you call them fairs i think ) , it has a section you would be real interested in knitting embroidery etc , some great handiwork presented to the judges
Nowaveagoodweekend -- don't blow the budget ---- week late for birthday present --did it cost that much

What budget? There's a budget?
He's been so busy at work and the Salmon Festival he was just too tired out to enjoy a birthday celebration. Postponing his birthday is a commom occurrence.

Sounds like a good time. We have two events like that here, one at the start of summer, and one at the end. I like to see the made-up garments and the live alpacas and vicunas.

Vicunas look interesting but alpacas are so darn cuuuuute!
