Warm Neck / Cold Feet

I've noticed that neckwarmers are becoming quite popular with men so I've knit one for DH. I finished it last night and left it hanging on the hook in front of his coat. This morning as I passed the coat hooks I noticed that his coat was gone but the neckwarmer was still hanging there. Was the weather too warm to wear it? Does he not like the colour? Did he even know what it was he had to move to get at his coat? Maybe he's just waiting for my express permission it wear it.

As for the cold feet. I'm still working on that.

I see these everywhere now, but men don't pick up on trends easily --- did he know what it was?

He had to work outside today and I see his neckwarmer is gone too.

Perhaps he forgot it, being new and all. I like it.

He said it was too warm outside and it really was a warm day.

Maybe he just needs a wifely nudge.

Would that nudge be with the rolling pin?

My husband hardly ever leaves the house so he has no need for a scarf
but my son wears them.

Neckwarmers are quicker to knit than a scarf because they're not as long and can't slip off and be lost.

I will have to try this one... I am just learning how to knit but I'm good at crocheting.

Maybe DH didn't know what it was. Place it around his neck (lovingly) and keep tightening it while you snarl, wear this or else.

I love it. He used the "It's too warm." excuse and in all fairness, the temperature did reach a balmy 9C/48F degrees yesterday.

AKA "circle scarf"
All the stores in the mall are selling men's fashion scarfs,
but I still think the look is a bit feminine.

Knit (you can use a scarf pattern) a rectangle approximately 14"/35.5cm X 22"/56cm. Sew the ends together to make a circle. That's all there is to it. I can sent you some really nice links if you're interested.

Many thank you's Marg I will make that for him and possibly one for me too ( I have got a scarf, but a neckwarmer, is a lot simpler to wear (no tucking in). Yes please, I would welcme the links, once again, thankyou

I do like the idea of a neckwarmer - excellent! my husband wont wear a scarf for some reason (which is very stupid as he walks the dog every night, even in this weather), butI have just talked to him about the neckwarmer & he said that he would, wear it.
Do you need a pattern, or could I knit it as you would a 'scarf'? I love the socks! They look so warm
