Walmart & Made in China Strike Again

My old hand held shower head had sprung so many leaks I could wash the walls while I washed myself. So like any good, little consumer I trotted on over to Walmart for a new one. The old one was a Teledyne Waterpik brand and had lasted for at least 12 years so I purchased another of the same brand. I never use the fancy pulsating or other settings just a plain old shower to rinse off the soap is all I need. The new one has just 2 settings; pulsating and shower and at $19.00 it was the right price. I installed it but couldn't tighten it enough to stop the leakage so DH tightened it for me. My first shower was disappointing to say the least. There was next to no water pressure. The water simply trickled out the holes and ran down my arm. I asked DH to take a look at it but had to take a second shower before he got around to it. He fiddled with it but it made no difference so I'm returning it to Walmart in the morning. I have the receipt but the packaging has been tossed. I hope they give me my money back this time. In case you haven't guessed, it was made in China.

Glad to hear you are able to shower again, in spite of the flaws of products and the inferiority of what is coming out of China.

There used to be a Teledyne plant in Loveland, where I shop for groceries, but 'they' closed that factory and outsourced to China. Same old, same old, isn't it?

Fredo is right. When companies started having everything made in China, the quality disappeared.

Quality products are getting harder and harder to find. I agree with jondude on this one. Ace Hardware is the place or some store similar to it in your community. Did you ever have Otasco stores in Canada. They WERE the best!

Try a local hardware store, like one of the Ace branded ones. You would be patronizing someone from your own community and their products are better than W-M junk. They also have much better service.

I imagine there would not be much stuff left on any of our countries shop-shelves if any of us [as a] consumer stopped buying their [sometimes] dangerous and defective crap.

That because we do not have any US made articles here.
When was the last time you found something made in the
USA not too many. This is what you get.Do not buy from them.
Something that you need, look around and will see.

You can always buy a new one and return the old one in the new one box....

The Chinese are trying to slowly pick us off. First they poison our pets. Then our children. They don't need to invade to conquer us. They can kill us with defective products that we used our stimulus rebate to purchase (BTW...President Chimp borrowed the money for the stimulus rebates from China.)
