My beautiful, new teal socks are done. They are my first pair of toe-up socks. I can't wait to wear them. Do you think anyone will notice the major mistake I made. What do you mean you can't see a mistake. It's massive. It leaps off the monitor and slaps me in the face. I can't believe I did that.
Come on people. Tell me. Where did I go wrong?

AHEM! Nothing dainty about my feet, I'm a solid size 10.
I think you need to send the yarn company a 'Yo! Patons! Looka my sox!' email with the photo attached.
wow, those look great. Can't see any mistakes at all. I like the strips to be mix-matched.
Is it the camera, or is that two different yarns? Really not very noticeable right off the bat. But they aren't that different, so I don't know how it happened. Your technique is beautiful. I haven't graduated to doing socks yet, still trying to get a sweater that I like everything about.
They are beautiful - erros and all. I have been on a big binge of crocheting hats. I made quite a few - gave some away and I am wearing some. Need some more wool yard - we don't use very much wool here, but it does well in hats.
By looking at these one would think I didn't either.
I don't have much experience with socks.
If you don't like them I'll take them.
You worry too much.
Sock it to me!! whats the mistake? surely it's not the unmatched stripes, that is a fashion trend. These days I am knitting a vest with your brown velveteen and rust coloured yarn.
'Turn then into something good' or, T.T.I.S.G. for short. I often do that concerning all manner of things (my 'cooking' usually) . . . Knit two more exactly the same or wear short ankle boots. My DH often matches up a pair by choosing two which haven't got any holes in them . . .
