Country Celtic Cable

Hot off the needles is my Country Celtic Cable Vest. I combined the best features of two different patterns and came up with this hybrid. I also used my hand spun wool and came to the conclusion that I need a lot more practice on my spinning wheel.

My apologies for the terrible photo but until I get a new camera and software I can't edit my pictures.

Next up will be my teal socks.

It only looks good due to the awful photo.

Marg, have you ever used 'Bamboo knitting needles'? If you have, what did you think of them?

Oh great, many thanx for the info - I have seen some on ebay, but I have only known (as used) metal ones - I wasn't too sure about them.

My mom gave me a set years ago. She said they were easier on her arthritic hands. Now that I've used them so much the tips are no longer pointy I discover I have arthritic hands. BTW, a little fine sandpaper does wonders for getting back the pointy tips. Yes, I love my bamboo needles.

Oh, very nice. I like how you've displayed it. Since I don't go to a local yarn shop to knit along, you are my inspiration.

I don't ask DH to take my picture any more; not since he scalped me in the photo of my cowl.

Great looking. Will you sell it or wear it?

This one's mine. Custom knit for me.

WoW! You 'spun' the wool too? You are so gifted and immensely patient (and dedicated).
Your garment is superb Marg. I love the pattern - the colour suits the style too.
