Sad News

This year has started off on a very sad note. DH's brother passed away from lung cancer on January 3rd. We didn't even know he was ill until four days before he died. I guess he was trying to spare DH. RIP Doug.

How long did Doug know about it before he let you know? I hope your DH had a chance to see him and say goodbye.

Doug found out in November. He was scheduled for chemo sometime this month. DH hadn't seen him recently. Just as well. He will remember his brother as he was when he was healthy. They did talk on the phone for a bit last week.
