The bad news: I have an appointment with him for a Cardiac Assessment this afternoon. I suspect it's a scare tactic to get me to loose weight faster. I hope he doesn't start pushing the South Beach Diet again. I gave my book away.

Hard to imagine a doctor recommending a particular fad diet, especially one so high in fat and cholesterol, but then it's Dr. Duck, so anything's possible. I thought it was funny when he did an on-line survey as a tool for determining that you should take Crestor, sounds like he just discovered the Internet.
Amen to teal's comment Fredo. We will miss Dr. Duck hope your replacement is better.
I forget what the South Beach diet calls for. Years ago I went on the Drinking Man's Diet. You could have booze and red meat -- no carbs. I loved it. But I had a problem already -- gall bladder disease -- and this was the wrong diet for that. Anyway, I eat everything now, but in moderation. I will miss Dr. Duck.
I think the South Beach Diet is only effective if you are reclining on a towel in the sun on South Beach. Ahhhhh.
what ever you feel comfortable at the weight that you are in now. Just accepted and do not overdo it.You will be fine.We loved Dr.Duck. Some kind of quack.Oh1 all right.Behave
