Feeling Better

I'm feeling so much better today. Full of energy, so full of energy I have finished carding my turquoise wool, done two loads of laundry, and dyed some wool a nice bright yellow.

Fingerless mitts I finished yesterday. $15.00

Turquoise and yellow wool. I plan to spin the turquoise with a little bit of the yellow. Should be interesting.

Nice! Love the fingerless mitts.
For dying, what dye do you use and where do you get it? I have a top that I want to dye, it's nylon and apparently needs an acid dye, but I have no idea where to buy it.

I swear by this. Dyes nylon and is the best price I've found.

You actually dye yarn? Do you turn it into thread too or do you just work flecks between the stitches of your knitting?

I do everything but shear the sheep.

Do you have a yarn shop nearby? They'd probably be happy to teach you, for a fee and there's always YouTube.

I can't wait for the pictures. Today, I am being lazy.

I'm just taking a break from the carding. I hope to have some time to start spinning it this afternoon. Pictures soon.

Your knitting skills continue to impress me. I probably will never ever get around to knitting a second anything. I might if I had a friend who knits who lived near by. It's for another life.

The 'hands' styling those mitts are lovely. Did you draw around your own hand? I'm working on the 250-hats for Christmas project. It's not an official name, I made it up. I have 6 hats so far (photos later), and I'm getting tired of struggling with the dpns at the end of each one, so next I'm going to try a top-down hat for a change.

Yup, that's my hand. DH's fingers are too stubby.
The first year I knew DH I went into a jewelry store to buy him a birthstone ring for his birthday and the owner of the shop tried to hire me because, "You have such beautiful hands."

250! I'm only making 52 and I'm using a knitting loom.

So glad you are feeling better. Love your colorful wool, too. It will be such fun to see what you do with it....
