My Bra

I didn't really want to say much about it, except that I'm wearing it and it's really hot. I was going to go pick up my new glasses this morning before the heat settled in but I needed to stay home and wait for the carpenter/flooring guy who was coming at 10:00 to fix a gap in our less than a year old laminate floor. At 10:25 the flooring place phoned and said he wouldn't be coming until 11:30-12:00. I had put on my bra, after showering, in anticipation of the c/f guy coming at 10:00. (Not that he's good looking or anything. I'm just not comfortable with anyone seeing me sans bra but my husband.) Now I'd have to wear the hot, non-breathable, distinctly uncomfortable thing even longer. The c/f guy arrived about 11:45, spent 15 minutes pounding on the errant board with a rubber hammer and the heel of his shoe and then told me he had to go get some tape so the rubber hammer would have some traction. Okaaaay. That was 12 noon when he left. It's now after 2:00. I figured he probably decided to stop for lunch but it's been over two hours now. I'm beginning to wonder if he's coming back today at all and I'm still wearing the bloody bra. :o(

Yes but I've discarded the bra as I really don't expect anyone to show up.

I'm not sure which post I could have done without--the neighbor's dog one or the bra one! (I still enjoyed reading them.)

I'm right there with you! I despise having to wear them for modesty when it's so hot. We must design some shirts which disguise one's front enough so you can answer the doorbell without one.

I've knit a few of those for Winter wear. I call them my baggy, old sweaters.

That is kind of par for the course isn't it. My carpet needs replacing and I can't make up my mind whether it will be carpet or wood. I love wood floors but there are advantages to both and Ted and Rex are messy.

To help with decision making I usually do the Eeny Meany Miney Moe thing.

Although I am not generously endowed (to say the least) I still feel more uplifted wearing my one and only on special occasions, or when I am getting my picture took.

If I can get down to a 'normal' weight no one will even know I have them (breasts not bras).

To each his own Ms. Nitti but I can't live w/o my bra. Go figure.

I am in desperate need of a new one (or two) but I'll have to go to the big city and check out expensive specialty shops for my size.

Probably required special tape and they are out of it, but more likely, he didn't know how to fix it, so you're going to have to request they send someone competent. When I watch Mr. Troutbend do projects I can see where things take longer than it seems like they should, and I'm grateful that I'm not paying him $60 an hour or whatever a handyman or service person would charge, plus he has to live here, so he can't just wander off and ignore the problem.

It is now 4:15 and he never came back.
