Blah, Blah, Blah

My new pattern, Foliage Lace Christening Gown, took off like a rocket. I sold eight patterns in the first two days. Now I want to start working on my next Christening gown design but I can't abandon my D-I-L's grey vest. My tension is off, as usual, so I've had to make numerous adjustments and I won't remember what I did if I don't finish it all at once.

I haven't touched my spinning wheel in weeks. I can't assemble it until I'm finished painting it and I haven't felt like painting in ages. I have this silly idea that I won't do a good job if I'm not "in the mood". I must buckle down and work on it today as nice weather is predicted for next week and I am so looking forward to spinning out on the deck, in the sunshine.

Today is our usual garbage day but due to the garbage men taking Easter Monday as a holiday, our pick up is on Thursday, this week, instead. When I opened the curtains this morning I was amused to see numerous resdents on our street had put their bins out at the curb. I hope the bears don't find out.

I need to find an on line button store. DH refuses to take me to Fabricland in Nanaimo due to their rinky-dink parking lot, the crowds of females in the store and the extrordinarily long line ups at the cash registers. I'll tell him he can pay the five dollar shipping on the two dollar buttons I order on line.

Well, no more stalling as I can't think of anything else to say. I'm off to paint. Toodles.

OMG, going to Fabricland is painful. Even when the store has good parking. So expensive, so many pretty fabrics, such long lines at the fabric cutting tables and check out.

On line shopping is good.

Your painting skills are not crap. Your painting is lovely so far.

You're right, of course. I love my new spinning wheel and I haven't done a half bad job on it. I will be the envy of the Thursday Spinners when I walk in the door with my teal wheel.

In the summer we have to watch out for cougars.

He will love paying $5 for a $2 card of buttons, I'm sure!

DH is...ah...how do I say this politely? Frugal...yes, that's a nice polite word for it.

Good luck painting. Maybe the problems I've been having with the collar of my sweater are mood-related.

Today I discovered it doesn't matter whether I'm "in the mood" or not. My painting skills are crap.
