Two Down

and ? to go. Shawl #2 I'm calling Grey Arches. I considered writing out the pattern but I have no idea how much of the grey yarn I used and I don't feel like counting the hundreds of beads in the shawl. Knitters not only want but need to know these things. So, Grey Arches is and always will be unique, a one of a kind.

Just beginning

Off the needles but unblocked

Grey Arches blocked and ready to wear. DH doesn't want me to put it on Etsy. He wants me to keep it. I haven't yet decided.

you mention shawl PINS, what came to mind was using "Peg Board" fasten to wall, paint it to match wal, use those clips for peg boards and use rods to display shawls like in the picture, layer it down and they would be flat, and easy to remove???

A shawl pin is a large broach-like piece of jewelry that holds the two sides of your shawl together so it doesn't slide off your shoulders and end up on the ground. You can see some nice ones here: https://www.theshawlpinstore.com/store/Default.asp

Keep it by all means...you deserve it.

As it's the first shawl I have ever designed I've decided to keep it. Now DH has to take me somewhere nice so I can wear it.

Keep it. Gorgeous, and how often do men say they like our clothes?

Not often. At least he learned to stop saying, "What is it?" when I held up the results of my hard work and asked, "What do you think?"

It is very lovely, perfect when there's a chill in the air.

Thanks. Now I need to figure out how to make some shawl pins to keep all my shawls in place.

That's fantastic, especially considering its origin!

It's truly beautiful....It would be hard for me to pass on the $130, but it's your call.

I found I did record the weight of the grey yarn. This means I can write up the pattern. Maybe I'll sell that instead. I counted the beads.....1,090.

It's beautiful Margaret, of course you must keep it, I want to see you wear it.

Oh shoot! There goes the $130.00 I was going to sell it for.

I think it's kind of nice that you didn't write it down, it's a work or art, one of a kind.

It's really lovely. I vote, also, that you should keep it.

Wow, Marg! That's beautiful. You wrote the pattern?
My vote is to keep it.
