I whipped this up this afternoon for my five year old granddaughter in Nova Scotia. I have no idea if it will fit her. If not, hopefully it will be too big and not too small. It's called a pillowcase dress and yes, you can use a pillowcase to make one but I dipped into my meager fabric stash for this printed cotton.
I'll make one for my 21 month old granddaughter next week.

The dress is adorable. My mom used to make all our clothes when I was a tot. She was wonderful (and so are you).
