Queen Anne's Lace

I couldn't wait for it to dry so I snapped a few pictures of it blocked on a queen sized bed. I could have blocked it more severely (made it bigger) if I'd had a king size.

If I hadn't fallen asleep while knitting it would have only taken three weeks to complete (of course, husband, cats and housework have been sorely neglected).

Closeup shot.

I don't find lace knitting all that complicated. I rely on concentration and perseverance. One of the first lace items I knit was My Shetland Shawl (in My Bookmarks). I was only 15 and no one told me it was 'supposed' to be difficult.
