Yesterday morning we had an exciting thunder storm with a torrential downpour. The power went out for a short time but there was plenty of light to see by.
We have those Leafguard gutters that will not clog and never need cleaning so this waterfall is a result of too much water filling the gutters.
The new owner of this house in our neighbourhood has been putting on a new roof and I have been putting up with their sporadic compressor, sawing and hammering for the past week. At the rate they are going, it will be another three weeks before they finish. Amateurs! Real roofers would have had it done in no more than 3 days.
Half an hour into the downpour they were still trying to spread out the tarps.
I almost felt sorry for them. Almost, but not quite.

Be glad you are not in the midst of a downpour with your roof wide open! That might make the noise tolerable.
All kinds of noise nearby in the early mornings, mostly people doing lawn work. Or power washing something. It's a trade off from the din of New York traffic. I can block it out.
noise can drive you nuts -----wonder how much damage the rain cost the neighbour,, a roofer would have made allowances for the rain with more experience
That is a long time for a roofing job!
Maybe a tiny wicker basket and some buttons glued to their roof will take of it. I'm still marveling over that one.
Noise is annoying! I can fully attest to that during our renovation... But at least for Me I know the noise will be worth it in the end, not so much for you!
That might make the noise tolerable.
