Our mailman was away last week. I don't know if he was taking a little vacation or sick but his replacement was the pits. She brought us mail on Monday and after she had been I noticed our gate was standing wide open. I saw her deliver our mail on Tuesday and she left the gate open again. Maybe she took offense when I immediately went out and slammed it shut. Maybe she took the sign, "Please keep gate shut", I taped to the gate literally and didn't have the energy to climb over it but we didn't get any mail for the rest of the week. We also didn't get our TV guide. I don't know what else she delivered to the house that's one block over and has the same house numbers as us but they only return a small percentage of our mail. The last time was our TV guide. It's good from Saturday to Friday and they brought it over on the Thursday. Another time they brought over my husband's business, bank statements...opened. The nosy so-and-so claimed he deals with the same bank and didn't notice DH's name until he had opened it. Claims he didn't read it....ya, riiiight. Pull the other one. Now that our regular mailman is back on the job I think I'll go bake him some cookies.
