I'm Sick Of ... .

knitting. There, I've said it. Yes, I am sick to death of knitting. I have a gorgeous shawl I started a year and a half ago. I have a lacy tank top I started while on vacation in August. I have a blanket I started designing last month. I have a little ducky hat and matching socks to finish before I can put them in my Etsy shop. I have DH's socks to finish by the evening of the 24th. I have bags of future projects lined up by my chair. That's probably the reason I went for a walk, did three loads of laundry and cooked a big dinner today. Sigh......back to the knitting.

Any constant thing,even if you love it, can overwhelm. You need a break. Maybe you could look for something new to do for those off days. I don't know what a wip is. Am I going to be okay not knowing?

We all need breaks and time to be refreshed. Usually, after a while, the joy returns.

I get sick of things I like too, especially when I HAVE to do it. Sometimes taking a break works.

I've always wanted to try woodworking. When I was in school, girls were not allowed to take that class and boys were not allowed to take the home economics class. Thank goodness things have changed. Meaning, I don't think either sex is barred from any class. I also don't thing there is a home economics class any more. Nowadays girls are expected to find a career, not a husband.

I know the feeling - it usually comes when I have projects to finish when I'd rather be starting new ones to see how they will come out.

The blanket design is not going well. I wish I could just focus on one thing and finish it. Tomorrow is another day. (I ignore spell check a lot.)
