Good News / Good News

It turns out the damage isn't as bad as I expected. (I always expect the worst. That way, I'm never disappointment and sometimes I get a happy surprise.) There is minimal mould. We've had a fan blowing on the damp bits for three days so everything is good and dry now. I will apply bleach to the mould and leave it to dry for a few more days. BTW, the leaking pipe has been replaced.

Although there is nothing wrong with our dishwasher, DH still wants to replace it. He has hated it for the last nine years and is looking forward to a nice new Maytag.

This weekend we will be looking for a new computer for me. I've decided I'd like a laptop but DH says he prefers desktops so we shall see what I end up with.

Craft markets are beginning this coming weekend. I hope there will be some new and different stuff. I'm getting tired of all the jewelry and place mats. I am really looking forward to the Fair Trade World Craft Bazaar on Saturday. They have some very unique items. Maybe I can finish my Christmas shopping soon.

I sold a lacey, beaded scarf at the Blue Fish Gallery last month. I need to knit some more things for the gallery. I'm currently working on a colourful, chevron cowl.

Yup, I do the cooking and most of everything else except for the guinea pigs which are totally her responsibility. Although somehow I do end up doing pig laundry in the basement from time to time. A chat with Donna might be a good thing, although I doubt that YOU could convince her that housework is more important than knitting.

"I doubt that YOU could convince her that housework is more important than knitting." Silly man. Why would I want to do that?

Glad you solved your mould problem. Since it's going to be your computer, you should get what you want. If you haven't used a laptop before, maybe you should test one out. Ed has one and one can use it without a mouse by using ones fingers on the bottom panel, and that's a nightmare. So we attached a mouse. For me, everything is too small on a laptop, although years ago I had one that wasn't bad -- everything is more minimal now. We have a GE Profile dishwasher. I like it a lot.

One swipe with a bleach soaked sponge and the mould was gone. The sponge went straight into the garbage can.
Some kid with utterly fantastic coordination thought up that stupid finger panel.

Yeah for shopping.
We got a new dishwasher, and I don't like it much. I swear the old one washed faster and better, and I could fit my 3 nesting mixing bowls. The new one takes over 2 hours, doesn't fit the bowls,... however it is very quiet which is nice!

Did you get a Maytag? That's what all the reviews said about our new one.

I love my almost new dishwasher. It gets the dishes so clean!! You will
enjoy the advances in dishwasher technology.

I must admit, I am looking forward to the quiet running.

Donna has been my dishwasher for many months now since the machine started leaking and lifting the tiles. It's a good model tho, so I think I'll keep it. Not the machine, I mean Donna.

DH is my back-up dishwasher. He makes my dishes sparkle and he rarely breaks down. Do you, at least, do the cooking? I must have a chat with Donna.

The craft fair sounds fun and I'm with you, I expect the worst! Seems better that way.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the wares. I'm rarely disappointed.

When I buy a dishwasher, I look for the bottom rack to have varying spaces between each row so various size pots and pans will fit. The low-end models have them uniformly spaced.

Our old one has the varying spaces and DH complains that absolutely nothing fits; not plates, not bowls, not pots... Have I mentioned I live with a perfectionist?
