Good News / Bad News

The good news: We don't need a new dishwasher. The old one is working just fine. Turns out it wasn't leaking after all.

The bad news: It's the plumbing that's leaking. It has probably been leaking for some time. The linoleum has lifted and there is probably mildew under the floor. So the $650.00 we are saving by NOT having to buy a new dishwasher will go, along with a few thousand more, to the plumber and for kitchen repairs. :o(

And also the good news is that you are able to deal with it. I keep saying that to Ed who complains. We have the money to fix our problems. That is a good thing, I tell him.

I've had that happen before - the floor boards swelled up quite a distance from the dishwasher - the water traveled under the linoleum. And yes, it was several thousand dollars to fix it.
