Dog Mountain Fire Haze

I woke up this morning to discover we have been transported to The Twilight Zone. Everything has been washed in a yellow dye and, although we have daylight, the sun is gone. I doubt this is any healthier than, years ago, when the mill was spewing ash over the Alberni Valley. Here is a comparison of yesterday and today.

I saw a NASA photo on Facebook. It showed the southern half of Vancouver Island and the lower mainland under a cloud of smoke.

Incredible! Definitely something out of science fiction. I'm glad you're back on MyBloggers.

Totally strange. No birds chirping, no lawn mowers or weed whackers, no dogs barking, no neighbours' voices...
Me too; especially with all the happenings around here to tell you about.

Isn't that awful. First picture, you can see the mountains. Then no mountains.

Not all the smoke and haze is from the Dog Mountain fire. There are five other wildfire burning along the coast and on Vancouver Island. Weather forecast is for the wind to change tomorrow and blow all this away.

It's like we've been transported to another planet. Very few folks out and about. Very eerie.
