Taking a Day Off

I'm relaxing today. Although I do feel a bit guilty about not doing any fence staining. It's a beautiful sunny, warm day; perfect for staining but I need/want a break. I need/want to catch up on my sleep. I need/want to finish the Grey Arches Shawl. I need/want to read a newspaper instead of just delivering them. The staining and house cleaning can wait. Too bad the laundry couldn't but that's almost done now.
Last night I took advantage of this last week without the HST and ordered two pounds of merino rovings to dye and spin. That should keep me occupied for the rest of the year.
Toodles! I'm off to sit in my rocker, on the deck, sip iced tea and knit.

Very inviting picture. We're busy getting ready for guests, lots of cleaning, and once they get here we can relax and pretend the work just does itself.

Your deck looks like a nice place to relax, you may even doze off, and catch up on your lack of sleep. I too was going to have an easy day, till I saw the add for Fairway 30% off the entire store while stocks last . I also walked the dog. tidied the garage (sort of) and did some laundry. Maybe tomorrow I'll take a day off. I'm glad you decided to have a well earned rest, it will be good for you.

Well, that didn't last long. I was driven indoors by the wind and rain that appeared out of nowhere. At least I can stop feeling guilty. Can't stain the fence in the rain.

Sounds like you deserve a day off too.
