New Computer & Dishwasher

DH and I went to Staples yesterday and one of us picked out a new laptop. DH told me they used Toshibas at his office so we found two that were on sale. I was leaning towards the cheaper laptop because it had a bigger screen and I do a LOT of browsing but DH told me his office computer's screen is the same size as the more expensive machine while his home laptop has the bigger screen and he hasn't noticed much of a difference with reading files. So, after warning me, before we left home, not to get talked into a lot of memory he obviously wanted the more expensive, Toshiba, 8 GB memory with the 15.6" screen. So that's what I chose. This afternoon I will take my new computer back to Staples along with the old tower and they will transfer everything for me. I'm not sure when I'll get it back. With tomorrow being a holiday it will probably be Wednesday. It will be so nice to be able to post pictures on my blog again.

The new dishwasher is being installed as I type, at least, it will be after the fellow picks up a new bottom panel which has a massive dent on one side. The installer tells me the rest of the dishwasher looks fine so he will pick up a new panel from the store we bought it from. He assures me we will have a working dishwasher TODAY.

We haven't generated enough dirty dishes yet.

I've always pictured you with a laptop - did you have just the tower before? My connection here is very slow, so I knit a few stitches with my laptop on my lap while I wait for large documents to download.

This is my first laptop. If DH was hogging the desktop (tower) I used my tablet. I also take my tablet with me in my bag as most places have WiFi now. The desktop has gotten so slow I played a lot of solitaire while waiting for pages to load.

Nice going on the computer. Once you get used to a dishwasher, washing by hand is a grind. Ed uses a lot of dishes for his snacks, so at the end of the day it looks like we had a party. What I also like about auto washing is that you can sanitize the dishes on the hot setting. It cuts down on colds.

moot point

I imagine soap and hot water would be enough to kill any germs. DH rinses our dishes so well he could probably skip the washing part altogether. It's a mute point anyway. The only dishwasher I am used to is my sweet husband.

Toshiba sounds good. I'm sure it'll be a pleasure to use a new computer and new dishwasher!

I wouldn't know about the dishwasher. That's DH's domain.
