It took me almost two months to knit this shawl but it was worth it. Here it is blocked and spread out on my queen size bed.
Here's hoping my D-I-L likes her Christmas present.

Wow, that is stunning! I think you are right...you should stitch it to the comforter and keep it.
Knit one fabulous sweater with instructions from a friend sometime in 1970. Been on a break since then. I can hear you gnashing your teeth. Stop it.
Your chrysanthemum shawl is gorgeous, how can you part with it? It should be on display in a Fiber Festival. I hope who ever receives it realize how much work and skill went into it. Congratulations.
The workmanship is fantastic. How can you part with it?
How could she not? Beautiful and made with love.
oh my gosh, that is beautiful. Did you use the yarn you plyed yourself? That pattern is on my list of projects to do. I will be starting the Shetland Shawl next though.
Wow - looks incredible on your bed. And you're giving it away? It's like a fourth child by now.
So very pretty. I'm on a break from knitting, even though my entrelac scarf isn't finished. Seems like it's easier for me to set something aside mid-project because when I finish one, I'm all gung-ho about What Am I Going To Make Next?
