Port Alberni is the Ultimate Fishing Town. For most of the final round we were neck n' neck with Nestor Fall, Ontario but by the end we pulled away with an 18,000 vote lead. After officials had counted the votes we were in the lead by over 30,000 votes. Apparently, Nestor Falls had a few cheaters in their ranks, voting with fraudulent email addresses. Our prizes are $25,000.00 which will go towards fishing enhancement and a half hour segment on the World Fishing Network TV station not to mention the prestige of owning such a title. I wonder if city hall will put it on the city's official stationary.
