Angel's Bed

When I'm not sleeping in it to distance myself from the thundering racket caused by DH's quivering palate, when DH isn't sleeping in it to distance himself fro......er.....um.....when DH isn't sleeping in it to ease his aching back, when guests aren't sleeping in it because it's supposed to be our guest bed and when I don't have freshly knit shawls or sweaters with a million pins blocked out on it, it's Angel's bed.

Re my previous post: A big heatfelt thank you to all who left me hearts and hugs. I'm feeling better, today, with the promise of some sunny weather on the way.

Thank you nittineedles and troutbend for the blocking suggestions. I'm off to Victoria today and will look in Wal-mart and hardware stores there.

Good to hear things are looking up for you, and that you are getting your energy back.

Definitely her bed, from the look on her face. Still sending hugs and good wishes.

Glad you are better. 60 isn't bad and neither is 82. It makes 60 look
like youth.

So glad to hear that you are feeling better. Can you give me blocking advice? I finally finished my knit vest and I'm not sure of the best way to block it into its correct shape. How do you use your guest bed to do that? I though a piece of plywood might work but before I go out and buy a piece (husband always burns up the leftover pieces) I thought I'd seek your advice.
You got the late night gene and I got the early morning one. I've been up since 5 a.m. when Tartan decided to barf right next to my side of the bed. Yuck! Guess who's job it is to clean it up?

Plywood would be too hard to stick pins in unless you covered it with foam and fabric.
I bought the large Sew EZ Board: https://www.guardian-tablepad.com/sewez.html?gclid=CJ21ua24pKgCFUoZQgod5RYzHA
I like my blocking board because it has the inches and centimetres marked off for easy measuring.

You could also use those lock together foam squares sold at Walmart and other such places.

At least Tartan woke you up so it wasn't an unpleasant surprise to be stepped in when you later got up.

If you google 'make your own blocking board' you'll get all kinds of ideas. There is an article on about making your own blocking board using ceiling tiles:

The one I looked at that uses plywood requires 1 inch foam so the pins will have something to stick in:

Good to know you are coming out of the fog. Angel-who-isn't looks like she belongs there.
