This and That

This is what I've knit since coming home:

Two Goin' Green Shopping Bags for a lady in Nanaimo. I was grocery shopping for my mom and was at the check out when this lady marched up to my cashier and asked her where she could get bags like mine.

This year's cute kitty picture. She looks so sweet but if you don't want your hands and arms shredded.....DON'T TOUCH THE TUMMY!

Lights on.

Lights off. (No Clapper)

What a sweetheart! Angel left a present for her daddy.

All I want for Christmas is another oil tube. DH got this one in a convention goody bag and it was perfect for getting into all my spinning wheel's nooks and crannies. The last time I tried to oil my wheel, it cracked. I'm going to miss it.

Can you believe it? This is considered a snow day for the school kids. There were a lot of bummed out Port Alberni children yesterday, missing out on the last day before Christmas vacation; gift and card exchanges, Christmas treats and special activities. I wonder what bozo down at the school board makes these decisions. Why I remember when I was a young'un in Ontario, plowing through six foot snow drifts on the ten mile walk I had to school. Terrified a city snow blower would suck me up and spit me out.....

catching up on posts while I was off line. You're right -- that's no snow at all. Grew up in Chicago where snow could be up to your waist. My kitty, Sniff, now gone , was very sensitive about his tummy, but, over time, he let me pet him there and grew to like it because I had gained his trust. It's survival mode when they lash out at you.

Marg, here in Utica, NY we no longer have any snow. A couple of days at 50+ degrees plus some soaking rain did the trick. Snow is expected, but I don't think it'll be enough to cover the ground.

This is typical for us. We can expect some snow in January and/or February but it's not usually very much.

I really want to touch that cat's tummy.

I know the feeling. It's hard to resist. Maybe if I wear an oven mitt and winter coat....

Sadly, it had mostly melted away by the next day. I hope you have a lovely Christmas and get everything you want.

Those convention give-aways sometimes really hit the mark. Angle doesn't lack for cat toys, does she? I like the lights on/off pictures because she doesn't budge. In that one picture, Angel has a look in her eye that she's daring us to take the bait.

Angel seems to like the ones that are home made or not really intended as cat toys. Take for instance the blue and yellow thing by her head. It is actually a Big Bird bathtub toy our kids enjoyed when they were young. Then there's the wooden spool, a tangled mess of my yarn and a golf ball.
Many have taken the bait, in spite of being warned, and lived to regret it.
