We left Port Alberni at 1:00PM heading for the ferry to Saltspring Island at Crofton. Caught the 3:40 ferry and found lodging in a chalet at the Salt Springs Spa Resort.

The weather wasn't great but it wasn't so cold we needed to use the wood stove. We dined at the Raven Street Cafe. DH had the Chicken Picante and New York Cheesecake while I chose the Canadiana Pizza and homemade vanilla ice cream. Apparently, the food is baked in a wood fired stove. We finished the evening with a soak in the jetted tub. DH especially enjoyed having his aching back pummelled by the jets.

I remember driving past that place now. At the time, I thought they were selling the cabins... the cabins looked so bright and new and out of place.
