Waiting on Tenterhooks

I have a pattern that I purchased some time ago and had forgotten all about. I rediscovered it while looking though my computer knitting files. This is it:

As you can see, it takes a LOT of yarn with all those pleats. I am assuming the front is the same as the back, shown in the photo. I think it is a beautiful sweater and I think it will look good on me.

Now for the waiting bit. I picked out the yarn I wanted, on the Knit Picks website last month, but waited until the 2nd of February before ordering 20 balls of it as I was under the impression that they started their monthly sales at the beginning of the month and this yarn was not on sale last month. It was not sale priced on the 2nd either but I ordered it anyway. I got an e-mail from them today saying it was shipped yesterday. I then went into the Knit Picks website to drool over my purchases and was shocked to see the exact yarn I ordered just two days ago is now on sale for a dollar off each ball. It works out to approximately a $30.00 savings for me after converting USD to CAD. I want my 30 bucks back. I have contacted Knit Picks and asked if they will give me the sale price and I'm waiting to hear their decision. If they say no I will have to return the yarn when I receive it. If I were to keep it, the whole time I was knitting the sweater I'd be thinking, "Damn, I could have had it for $30.00 less." and would probably never be happy with the finished garment. I will let you know what Knit Picks has to say when I hear from them.

That is a gorgeous sweater and I hope the company decides they shouldn't be ridiculous, but keep a customer.

I'd be more pissed with the company than the outcome. Good customer relations suggest that they will give you the refund. Good luck.
