Today

Today I woke up to find I'd sold five patterns during the night. Cool! Wish that would happen every night.

Although I don't like milk, DH used to insist I have a glass with my dinner but when I discovered Metamucil could help lower my cholesterol I switched to that. Today I realized when given a choice between the two, milk wins every time.

Today I started walking again. My annual check up is in just under two months and I would really like to get those triglycerides down.

Today I went grocery shopping. All my purchases have been rung up. There is a lineup forming behind me and as I'm rummaging in my wallet for my credit card the cashier says, "If you spend another six dollars you'll get 150 Air Miles." I could have said, "Really? Just wait while I go find a few more items." but instead I declined her offer....much to the relief of the customers behind me.

It's always something. Our grocery stores do something with cents off a gallon of gas to get us to spend that $6 more. I've never been interested in that because the participating gas station was in the next town, and it'd cost more to save a couple pennies per gallon.

I love to walk and thankfully so does K. I bought a pedometer that measures the number of steps and I've read that a good goal is 10,000 steps a day. Many days I achieve that or more but some days I can't even if I'm active (like today when I was weeding for hours in the garden). When K & I went to Palm Springs we even had some 20,000 step days. Good luck.

I got a pedometer and never figured out how to use it. Garden work is very labor intensive and eats up calorie, so don't think you didn't work out.

Good for you on the walking... I need to get back into a work out routine once baby girl arrives!

You'll only need a work out routine until she starts crawling. Then you'll be running after her.

So, you're one of *those* people!
I never did understand why people don't get their checkbooks ready and dig out the coupons while they are waiting in line, not while the cashier is waiting to be paid. Ugh....

My solution -- no coupons. I have found, anyway, that out of 100 coupons, maybe one is for an item I would buy anyway, so I just don't bother. Zero coupons. Life is too short.

Great! The next time you're held up at a check out by a doddering old lady, rummaging through her purse, you'll be thinking of me.

I would have added a bunch of chocolate bars to get that 150 airmiles!

I thought about it but I've heard a nasty rumour they aren't good for you.

Nice news about your sales! Have you ever considered having a Facebook page for your patterns, linked to your online site? Just wondering....

I started a Nittineedles Facebook page Nov 1, 2011 but apparently, it's a secret.

Thanks. It's so exciting when someone buys something I've made/designed.
