It's That Time Again
Yesterday DH and I motored up island to Campbell River where we caught a ferry over to Quadra Island. I sure it's a lovely place when it's not raining.
Dinner, last night, at one of the resorts on the island wasn't very good. DH's salmon was under cooked and my spatzel was disgustingly mybloggers, although my chicken was tasty and the unknown vegetables were cooked just right.
Our room last night was incredibly hot so, as there is no air conditioning we had to try to sleep on the king sized rock slab of a bed with a noisy fan on. I may be just a tad tetchy today after being woken up at 5:50am by our intermittently screeching smoke detector and then the motel's neighbour, a pub, trimming their hedge and leaf blowing at 6:30am. OK, that's my bitch for today. We're off to find a place that can serve a decent breakfast.
