Tag! You're It!

That's what I've been doing all day.....playing tag with the rain and I was winning up until five minutes ago. I met my new pole walking buddy at the track at 9:15AM. We walked each lane once but I think we got an extra one in there as we kept forgetting to move over to the next lane each time we walked around. We finished shortly after 10:00 and as we stood chatting beside our respective vehicles big, fat drops of liquid sunshine began to splatter in the dirt. I drove home with the wipers on but the rain had stopped by the time I parked my car. I pottered around in the house for a while and then the sun came out and I decided to finish planting the bedding plants. I almost made it but the rain started up again and I just had time to drag the unplanted pots, bedding plants and bags of soil under cover before getting drenched in the sudden downpour. For now I'll read some posts and get some knitting in while I wait for the sun to reappear. After all, I still have to finish planting the bedding plants, trimming the hedge and refinishing my wooden bench. Playing rain tag is OK for today but by tomorrow I'll be singing, "Rain, rain go away. Come again another day or Marg will turn the air so blue with lots of nasty words for you."

We had a bout of rain, too...now we're in a heat wave. Well, actually, things cooled down today...only in the 80's...but it sure was hot.

Tons of rain in our forecast. I think it will rain 10 days straight. Going to build an ark tomorrow.

It is raining now and spares me the watering task I had planned. However the dogs had to go out during the height of it and I am fighting dirty paw marks.

I love the rain...I just don't like driving in it.

It doesn't rain here, even when it's in the forecast!

It poured here last night. Sure did a lot to lower the temperature.

I was hoping for a little rain yesterday and I thought I would never be in that position again after all the flooding, but my bushes needed a nice drink.

Rain can come at a bad time; but this time of year, we welcome it in Oklahoma.

I'm playing rain tag here too! Take out the mare & foal out to the pasture, oops, it's raining, put the mare & foal back in. Oh, the rain stopped, take the mare & foal out again! We've had a depressing amount of rainy days here. At least I haven't had to water the garden and trees much.
