Rise N' Shine
Rise N' Shine
If I can't sleep in then nobody gets to sleep in. You hear that, you lazy cats. DH has already left for the office thanks to the alarm company calling to say the front door sensor had been triggered. Probably some drunk stumbling down the street fell against it. I've already been to the hospital and back. I was up at the ungodly hour of 6:45 to be there at 7:35. I was, as usual, early and sat in the waiting room until 8:00 when I spotted the doc all bright eyed and bushy tailed, guzzling his morning coffee. He hustled me into the hospital's spare emergency room, I changed into one of those fashionable little gowns with the ties that are always missing and lay down on the bed. The doc came in, froze the back of my leg and removed a rather large skin tag. I had assumed he was cutting it off but as I changed back into my street clothes The overpowering stench of burning assailed my nostrils. I don't know what burning flesh smells like but I assume that was it. Back home in my driveway, I was gingerly climbing out of the Jeep by 8:15. So here I sit with glazed over, blood shot eyes thinking I should go deliver the rest of my newspapers before the freezing wears off. Then I can take a nice, long nap.
