Primavera

Here is the luscious, cloud soft Malabrigo I purchased at my new LYS (Local Yarn Shop), "Let's Knit":

The colour is called primavera.

This is what I'm knitting with it:

My little doily wants to be a shawl when it grows up.

This is what I recently finished:

The designer called her pattern, "Buttercup" but I call my new pullover, "Copper Top".

Looking at the skeins, there seems to be more green than orange, but then it seems to work up mostly brown/orange. Just beautiful.

I must admit I was a little disappointed in the lack of greens showing up but the wool is so soft it doesn't really matter.

ohhh, that sweater top locks so soft and comfy. Love the happy color. Can't wait to see the shawl!

I'm on round 111 of 150 but there are almost 600 stitches in each round so I don't expect to finish anytime soon.

I love the colour of Copper Top.

I'd love to see a picture of your vest.

Beautiful work, as usual. As our resident translator, I must comment that for yarn with so many fall colors I find the choice of primavera (ie. Spring) a strange choice for a name. Just sayin'

Perhaps a little.

They may be Fall colours but doesn't the photo remind you a little of a plate full of pasta primavera?

I KNEW you wouldn't be able to stay away for long! Love the pullover. It's such a pretty color, and it looks so comfortable too.

It's a cool cotton top for the summer.

Won't it be dangerous for you to have a local yarn shop again? I love the colour of the Malabrigo yarn and can tell its your kind of shades. Mum and I went to Dressew while we were in the city and I bought a clasp for my vest. I just need to sew it on and that projects done. Hope you have a good Mother's Day.

The sweater is gorgeous. Knit another in pale yellow and you will be
fixed up for summer.

Marg, don't mind Jeri - no matter what I knit, she's always saying I need to make something blue. Sounds like she'd like you to make a yellow sweater and me to make a blue sweater and send them to her. But she'll probably deny that. Right now I'm still working on the mohair sweater, some kind of dropped rib pattern that I can't see a mistake in until four or five rows are done. It's tricky to keep track of the pattern at the same time as increases and decreases, but it's a nice challenge.

I'll add it to my list.

And here I thought you were going to give us a recipe. The yarn is gorgeous and the shawl will be too.

How can I give you a recipe when I don't cook?
