Poor D H

Last evening DH and I went to see the local theatre's rendition of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest. We both agreed it was he best performance we've seen here. After returning home DH complained of heartburn, something he rarely suffers from. He took some Tums and headed off to bed. About an hour later he had the thermometer in his mouth. He took some aspirin for his fever and asked for extra blankets in an attempt to stop shivering with cold. 30 minutes later he was in the garage searching for the bucket which he used about 20 minutes after that. Poor DH. Upon hearing of his ill health, my first uncharitable thought was that we would not be able to visit my mother and sister today, as planned. My second uncharitable thought was that I could now show him the lack of care he bestowed on me when I was sick but I can't do it. I've been tip toeing around the house so he can sleep. Every time I hear him get up I'm Johnny-on-the-spot to ask if he needs anything. I made him a piece of toast for breakfast. My third uncharitable thought is that I'm hoping this is just a 24 hour bug. Poor me.

Just from the title, before I even started reading, my first uncharitable thought was 'now he'll get an idea of what it's like to the be the sick one.' Of course, your bout lasted much longer and was more debilitating, so he didn't have time to really figure it out. Well, anyway, glad to hear he's better.

Hope DH recovered quickly and he didn't have something that he could pass on to you.

Food poisoning. We know of four from his office who came down with it on the weekend. I hope they report the restaurant.

I love the play too. It is good he didn't get sick before and you got
to go see the play.

Fortunately they were open tickets so we could have gone the next weekend too.

"Tomorrow" is today. And.......? Nothing like being a caretaker, nurse Marg.

As he's feeling fine today, we suspect it was food poisoning. Not from my kitchen but a restaurant he ate at the day before.

Sounds like food poisoning. I had same symptoms in Mexico. It feels like flu. I love that Wilde play. It's genius. Hoping it's only 24 hours isn't uncharitable, it's also you don't want him to suffer. Right? I said, Right??

Oh yes. Absolutely. What ever you say. Right!
My first thought was food poisoning as he ate out on Friday. We'll see how he feels tomorrow.
