I like this one much better than

yesterday's.

The pattern is much more visible in this one. It's very pretty! It's hard not to wash out the delicate detail with a flash. Some cameras let you set the flash to "fill" or 1/4 or 1/2. You can also bounce your flash by angling it at the ceiling. You might try those if your camera has those settings or if your flash is adjustable.

Thanks. It's just a point and shoot but I am learning a lot about lighting and angles.

You could see the texture better but I didn't like the shadows.

I'm not happy about the shadows either but if I use the flash it wases out the pattern. Catch 22.

Strangely, I like 'em both. I like today's better, but I'd keep the other one around too. It is just plain pretty..

Thanks. I must have taken a dozen photos and deleted most of them.

I can see the raised weave much better in this one.

The darker background makes the blanket pop and no flash makes the pattern more visible.

Lovely! It really does look better with more shadows to add textures.

I forgot to raise the flash on the camera.

Much better. I didn't realize that one of your rooms is a library.

Yes, It's in the south wing, across the hall from the music room. The north wing has the ballroom. My apologies, I thought you'd had a tour of the mansion.
