It was supposed to be another drizzly, dismal day but the weather man was wrong. I had to change out of my wool socks and jeans and into a cool cotton skirt and sandals. After being cooped up for two days while our heat pump was being installed I was delighted to get outside. I attended the Wednesday knitting circle at my local yarn shop and went for a walk to DH's office to give him the eye glasses he lost this morning. It started to cloud over this afternoon so I went out to snap a few pics in the yard.
I know you are just dieing to see our new heat pump. Ha! Isn't it a beauty? Heat in the winter and A/C in the summer.
A pretty yellow rose. I don't know why the camera focused on the background and not the flower.
I found Angel. She was trying to blend in with the bark mulch, hoping a birdie would saunter by.
A pretty pink rose. As soon as there are enough I will cut some for inside the house.

We have whole house a/c and never open up the house, winter or summer. Some say it's confining to live that way. I don't mind and I was told the piano would die if the house had the level of humidity we get because of being on water. I can always go outside.
The roses are glorious. I love having enough to cut but mine seem to be cooking on the vine.
I really like the look on Angel's face, she looks put out about something, one of those 'if looks could kill' faces. Your roses are gorgeous. We have some old bushes in Las Vegas that have lost their hybrid characteristics, and I would like to rip them all out and start fresh. Mr. YouKnow is less enthused about the idea.
Lovely roses, mine are struggling, perhaps because they don't get enough TLC.or even fertilizer. I'll go out and feed them today if it's not too late.I still think we should have got a heat pump when they first came on the market, it would have paid for its self over and over again.
Nice photos. We also have a heat pump and it certainly does help reduce the heating bills. We find we don't use the cooling aspect in the summer because we forget to put it on until the house is too warm and then resort to the old technique of opening windows. I was in Victoria yesterday (a hematologist appt) but managed to fit in a 1 hour+ walk along the waterfront pathway. Lovely.
Air conditioning....nice! Now you have to remember to keep your windows closed this summer. That pink rose with the yellow highlights is beautiful
