Yes, that's what I am. It happens most often on the computer. I know the anonymity of the internet appears to make people take leave of their senses. They believe they can say things to me that wouldn't even pop into their heads, let alone spew out of their mouths, if we were face to face. Just because I posted an uncomplimentary restaurant review on a website that exists for that purpose, this nut bar wriggled her way out of the woodwork to say this:
A question regarding your review of Starboard Grill
Regarding: Port Alberni: Starboard Grill: Disappointing
From: Pamela D
I was very surprised to see your review of the Starboard Grill . It is a first rate restaurant that would survive even in Vancouver!
I respect her opinion but then she just had to add:
I suggest you not go back and just stick with MacDonalds!!
Now, I admit I should have just hit the Block Sender button but foolishly replied with this:
Thank you. I feel so honoured to receive a private message from the chef's mother. What was your question?
To which she replied with this bit of wit:
I'm afraid you are mistaken and you owe him an apology. His mother, I believe, is dead.
Why would you think I am his mother?
Do you live in a trailer?
It was at this point that I realized she is just one of those trouble makers we see a lot of on the knitting forum. So I decided to end it before she descended into spouting gibberish:
I don't answer personal questions. Stop contacting me.
But it was too late:
Ha, ha, ha!!! Stop contacting me? Don't publish on the internet then!
