My Nights Out

Last week I registered for a course on Osteoarthritis and it started last night. I didn't learn as much as I thought I would but it was only the first of four nights for this course. Primarily we went over the course material and were shown a power point presentation regarding how osteoarthritis differs from other forms of arthritis, risk factors and symptoms, goals of arthritis management and immediate and long tern treatment options available. We also touched on the subject of exercise and it's benefits. Next Monday will be about pain management which I don't really need at the moment but I'm sure will come in handy at some point in my life.
Unfortunately, next Monday is also DH's and my wedding anniversary. We have postponed our dinner out to Tuesday evening instead. I expect we will have the restaurant to ourselves which will make for a nice romantic evening.

Isn't osteo less threatening than rheumatoid? I have touches of it but I always stretch and manipulate any joints that present pain and have been able to work it out. Please let us know if there are any revelations. Have a lovely wedding anniversary.

Rheumatoid arthritis sounds terribly painful.
I've started exercising my thumbs.
I'm looking forward to the nutrition night. I didn't know what you eat can affect your arthritis.

Yes, but I keep putting it off. Can't wait too much longer.

Are you a candidate for surgery?

I'm interested to hear how they are going to manage to string that subject out into 4 sessions.

That will be no problem due to the little old lady who wants to tell us all about her poor eyesight, her most recent hospital stay, her need for a hearing aid, and anything else she can think of.

You have been married that long
I will be bored being along in a place liked that.
Got to have people there to share our lovely anniversary.
If you want romantic well then let it be at home.

I remember the wood paneling - I had some on a wall once upon a time too. Thirty five years - many congratulations to you both

It's actually a wall with wood paneling which was very popular in houses 35 years ago. We were married in my parent's home. I'll post some wedding photos next Monday.

It is a shame you have to postpone your anniversary celebration, but it is important for you to do the arthritis course. I hope you will eventually get further enlightenment on this horrible, painful condition
It will be sooo romantic having the restaurant more or less to yourselves

Marg, is that an Easter egg in your avatar??????
