Moon over Alberni

The first time I went out to check on the moon it was totally obscured by the clouds. I checked again later and the clouds had parted enough to see the silvery orb suspended in the night sky.

It looked a lot bigger in person than it did in this photo.

Here it is with the camera on 48X zoom. So calming and peaceful.

I didn't think it looked any bigger here. Will have to look again tonight.

Your pictures of the moon are amazing, I forgot to watch it last night, but will remember tonight. Thanks for sending the pictures.

I hope it's not too cloudy tonight.

I've heard of "moon over Miami", but not over Vancouver.

You win the prize for the best moon shot. It can look so big in person, and then in the picture, it's small, but you did a great job with the magnification, just beautiful.

Thanks. I discovered that when you magnify it that much the slightest movement of the camera sends the object shooting out of view. I was trying to centre the moon but I'm just lucky it's in the shot at all.
