I'm Losing It

Background:
Although he rarely drinks coffee, DH gets the coffee maker ready for me every morning. He even sets out a coffee mug for me. When I get up all I need to do is push the on button, wait five minutes and drink my morning brew.

This morning I pushed the on button and sat down to spin for five minutes. When my five minutes were up I came downstairs to turn on the computer and as that takes about five minutes to be ready to use and my coffee, which I placed on the computer desk, would be too hot to drink for about the same length of time, I decided to go back upstairs and spin for another five minutes. I can't stand being idle.
At the end of the five minutes I went to pour myself a cup of coffee and noticed DH had only poured in four cups instead of the usual 6 cups of water. Now I'm wondering, "If he measured in the usual amount of ground coffee, it's going to be too strong." So I boiled some water in the kettle to add to the too strong coffee DH had provided me with. While I waited for the kettle to boil I spent another five minutes spinning. When the kettle boiled I filled my mug two thirds with DH's coffee and one third with boiled water. Then I carried my mug downstairs to the office where I discovered a cooling mug of coffee sitting by the computer. Now I have a mug of cool but delicious coffee DH made and a mug of hot but weak coffee I messed up. To prevent this scenario from ever happening again I have decided I must have a cup of coffee before I have my first cup of coffee.

She's just not a morning person either.

Sounds like something I would do, and all we can do is laugh about it.

All those five minute spinnings got me confused.

Sometimes we got to have faith in our significant others. What I do is pour water into the coffee pot reservoir and then forget I have done it and then pour water in again. I only make half a pot each morning. So when I took the carafe out and noticed a full pot, I realized my mistake. Weak coffee -- never. I poured the weak coffee into the reservoir and added coffee to the basket and that worked.

Hope you had a good trip home on Saturday. Sunday was not a good Market day weatherwise, perhaps you didn't go? Today is even worse, I only went out to put out out the garbage, but did get work done on my knitted purse and lacy scarf. You sure did need that cup o' coffee, try instant, it works for me,

Trip home was uneventful.
Sunday it started to sprinkle rain just after noon. When the thunder and lightning started we(vendors)discussed leaving but decided to stick it out as there were still some die hard tourists with rain gear wandering around. When it began pouring buckets, tourists and vendors alike, all left.
Your purses are so cute. Is it your handspun/hand dyed wool?
