Jet Lagged

No phone call from our guest saying he'd missed the ferry so he must be on it.

Here he comes.

What if he's not at all like I thought he was? What if we don't get along? What if he expects to be waited on hand and foot like some of the exchange students we've hosted over the years? What if we have an argument and have to put up with each other for the next TWO WEEKS?

It's too late now. The ferry's just docked. He'll be getting off any minute.

He's here! Hello Michael aka janeway4eva. Welcome to Canada. Welcome to our home.

So sorry I forgot to take the camera when we went to the craft fair but we found some nice gifts and kept bumping into ladies who came from England. After lunch Michael and I went grocery shopping (Do I know how to entertain house guests or what!) and we stocked up on foods he likes and is not allergic to. He brought me a suitcase full of presents too numerous to mention but I did spend a good deal of time this evening spinning some of the lovely wool rovings. Jet lag finally caught up with him and tonight he was in bed shortly after 9:30. Michael is a delightful young man. We are having a wonderful time and, unfortunately, I'm afraid this two weeks is going fly by way too fast.

What fun! I'm sure he's going to enjoy his visit, although November may not be our best season. Hope he hasn't been blown away by all the recent winds. Have fun at Coombs and the craft fairs.
We once had a guest (he actually lived with us for 6 months) and when we went to meet him at the airport, we didn't know what he looked like, so we just wandered around looking for someone who matched his name and background. We failed miserably and only found him when there was almost nobody left. oops!

I think we reveal ourselves in our blogs and then when we do meet it is a
pleasure.
