That is a bit warm for your area, so no wonder it feels so hot to you. There are times when heat can take a toll on me, too, so I make my plans around it if I can. Before I had A/C, one of the things I used to do was take a warm (or regular temp) shower...the water being wet didn't matter that it was warm, it still felt good. Then, when finished, I would not dry off, maybe a little patting dry in some spots, but I stayed wet. Put on the minimal amount of clothes and laid or sat where I could feel the air of a fan. It was like when you get out of a pool (or out from the water at a beach) and you feel the coolness of the breeze against the wet body. Also, a wet towel, washcloth, or any cloth kept against the back of your neck will help...I used to keep a bowl of water in the refrigerator with a couple of cloths in it...and a couple of wet ones, slightly rung out, in a baggy in the freezer.
Happy 'Fourth of July' Marg
Last few days have been very hot and steamy with temperatures in the low nineties and the humidity nearly as high, but that is Florida.
Sorry to hear the heat is making you ill. It affects us all differently. I'm fine with heat as long as there is cool water (lake or pool) around to cool off in. Soak in cold water if you don't have AC...you don't want to get heat stroke.
You would NEVER survive an Oklahoma summer!
Sorry about the heat. We are having similar temperatures here, but that's normal for here. Do you meant to tell me that the "roll" is irreparable, now that I'm done?
I take it that it normally does not get that hot there? put a bowl of ice in front of your fan. although I did see a CSI episode where a guy did that and ended up electrocuting himself.
When I was a kid my aunt in Nevada put a pan of cold water with a chunk of ice in it in front of a fan and that blew cooler air around. I'm not sure how it works in a humid climate.
Dang global warming.
Your lucky - were in the 100's all week! Time to get a pool.
