What Happened?

Just a few things that have been going on.
DH and I invited my mom to come for Thanksgiving dinner (October 13) and stay as long as she'd like but the day we were going to pick her up, she fell and fractured her hip. We've been down to Nanaimo several times to see her and she is doing very well. When she is released from the hospital I will go to stay with her while she recovers.

I have been knitting up a storm but have absolutely nothing to show for all my work. On my needles are just a few things:
1)a ballet cardigan for my 5 year old granddaughter who recently began taking ballet lessons
2)a pair of matching legwarmers for the same granddaughter
3)a black shawl with gold beads I plan to donate to the Sweetheart Dance and Auction in February
4)one pair of turquoise socks
5)a baby blanket in mint, blue and white for my craft market table in May
6)a tan, wool vest for myself
7)two gaudy purple/pink/blue scarves for my granddaughters for Christmas
8)a pair of fingerless gloves for the Blue Fish Gallery
I don't think I've ever had some many things on the go all at once and expect I will finish everything within a few days of each other.

So sorry for your mom's accident but it's good news that she is recovering well. Hip problems in later life can be daunting. So many projects waiting on your time -- you're amazing.

That's good news about your mother. Do you knit a few stitches on one project, then pick up another? How is Angel?

I was working on at least three different projects a day until I promised my granddaughter her sweater would be ready for her next ballet class, Tuesday. Me and my big mouth. Now I'll need to knit in my sleep to get it finished in time.
Angel is her usual self; digging in my plant pots, dragging my yarn across the room and sleeping where my feet should be, in the bed.

I hope your mom gets well and mobile again soon. Wish I could loan you
some of my equipment.

We are heading over to Nanaimo tomorrow to see how she's doing. Reports from my sisters say she is doing very well.
