This fulled bag ended up an unusual shape. The natural coloured wool was all the same brand so I expected the bag to be the same shape after fulling as before. However I knit the flap in garter stitch and the rest of the bag in stocking stitch. The stocking stitch shrank and matted much more than the garter stitch. It's a lesson learned for me.
Fish Bag before fulling
Fish Bag after fulling.
The blue was a different brand of wool and I knit that in the round, carrying the yarn so it makes sense that it would shrink up even more than the natural.
The next time I see someone selling ceramic buttons I will buy more than just the one.
The bag didn't sell yesterday but there was a lot of interest.

The bag looks good -- but I know your perfectionist frustration. Go with the flow.
I like it. It is different, like me.
I am not a perfectionist and I think it is pretty.
Ugh.... No.... I was saying that it does take talent to get all the parts to shrink together and your reply was: "Not talent. Just a top loading washing machine."
Looks like I had the right idea....
My comment on your "Fulling" post: "Looks like it takes talent to get all parts to shrink in proportion. WTG! ".
