My Exciting Weekend

fell flat on it's face. On Wednesday DH told me he was getting a cold. I told him he had better get well quick because I would hate to have to drag him from his sick bed to take me to the Fleece and Fibre Sale. I then retired to the guest room in hopes of avoiding his head cold. By Saturday I wasn't feeling top notch but attributed it to the lack of sleep on a bed I'm not comfortable in. Saturday evening I felt like a kid on Christmas Eve and went to bed early. I awoke at 5AM Sunday with a full bladder and when I got out of bed I almost keeled over from dizziness. After stumbling to and from the bathroom I climbed back into bed and was promptly sound asleep. I awoke again at 8:30AM. Now it was time to get up and start this day I have been anxiously waiting for but first I'd just take a couple of aspirins for my pounding headache. I washed, dressed and popped a slice of bread in the toaster. By the time it was toasted I had taken a couple of Gravol to settle my queasy stomach. By 9:00 I had told DH he might as well go back to bed because we weren't going anywhere and was dialing Kim's number to let her know we wouldn't be meeting them at the sale. Believe me, if I thought for one moment I could have dragged my aching body around to look at the fleece and fibre we would have gone. You have no idea how disappointed I am but it was only the First Annual sale. There will be another next year and you can bet your life's savings I'll be there.

I too have been suddenly sick on important occasions. It's the pits. Hope you and DH get over all this quickly. So sorry you missed the big sale. A whole year away, oh bummer.

Sometimes the spirit says one thing, but the body says something else. Hope you're soon feeling yourself again.

I used to feel like that when I had a date and the roads were impassable.

That was the curse of living on a farm with dirt roads. I remember those days.

I don't believe the weather has ever kept a boyfriend from getting to me.

We don't even have the same germs. He has a head cold and I had the flu. I expect next weekend I'll have his head cold and he'll have my flu.

Sounds like you've got a doozy of a virus, I hope it's a short term one, are you feeling much better? I sent you an email yesterday, but my computer is acting "silly billy" and putting previous emails in front of the one I'm sending. We do hope your soon feeling better, and DH too.

I got your e-mail and will answer later. We're both feeling better but he stayed home from work today. Of all days to be sick. It's like being sick on your birthday and having to cancel the party. I really hate it when my plans don't pan out.
